The model is originally designed and licensed by copernicus508. The designer uses the least parts to achieve the best visual effect. The unique design and color scheme of the model make it an impressive display and collection, providing lots of fun while assembling.
Information about the original: In 1941 and 1942, a total of four type D 311 double locomotives were put into service by the German Wehrmacht. They had been built for transporting the heavy rail guns “Dora” and “Schwerer Gustav”. After the Second World War, the remaining examples were operated by the German Federal Railroad as the class V 188, and from 1968 as the class 288. Two locomotives, the V 188 001 a/b and the V 188 002 a/b continued to be used by the Deutsche Bundesbahn after the war. A third locomotive served as a spare parts donor. They proved themselves in heavy freight train and pushing service, primarily on the Spessart ramp. After generator damage, V 188 001 had to be withdrawn as early as 1968. V 188 002, later 288 002, was still in service in the Franconian region until 1972. In 1973, both machines were scrapped. Information about the moc: This moc is designed in 8 wide and has a length of 67 studs and a height of 14. The locomotive can easily be equipped with up to four train motors! Inside the locomotive is enough space for a battery box and an IR reciever. There is an opening in the base plate through which the cables can be easily routed. The roof can also be removed, making it very easy to access the battery box. A minifigure can be placed in both cabs. Most of the white parts can be replaced with any color, because they are not visible from the outside.
