I believe that all of you who have seen the Lord of the Rings will be attracted to the Rivendell — an elven kingdom, which is an otherworldly place. So many visitors come here for sanctuary, advice, or knowledge. Rivendell is described as “The Last Homely House East of the Sea” in reference to Valinor, which was west of the Great Sea in Aman.” How desirable! While Legomocloc, a designer of rebrickable has built this wonderland out of blocks.
Rivendell (“cloven-dell”) is the Common Speech translation of the Sindarin name Imladris, which is a deep valley near the Misty Mountains in East Eliado. Founded by the half-elf Elrond in the Second Age, Imladris is inhabited by Arwen and Glorfindel, besides Elrond. As one of the last remaining territories in the Third Age in Central Asia, it holds much of the history and teachings of the Elves, symbolizing ancient wisdom and knowledge. One such visitor, Samwise Gamgee, once said of this valley: “We’ve come a long way and seen a lot of sights, but I can’t think of a better place. Everything is here.” The valley is a beautiful and peaceful place where travelers can meditate, rest and get wise advice. Hidden in heath, with a steep zigzag path leading into the gorge.
In the Lord of the Rings — an epic high-fantasy novel by English author and scholar J. R. R. Tolkien, Rivendell, a significant elven stronghold in the misty mountains of the Midlands, is where the Fellowship of the Ring was born in the true sense. I believe that this story has been familiar to everyone, here is not too tired to tell. It is worth mentioning that Tolkien had a real reference in mind when he created this place. This is based on a Swiss town, Lauterbrunnental, where Tolkien visited for a short stay in 1911. Inspired by the beauty of the Swiss town, Tolkien modeled the elven kingdom of Rivendell as he remembered Lauterbrunnen. If Prague is about princes and princesses, this town is about knights and princesses. A moat surrounds the town, as if some fairy tale will be staged in the next second.
The town of Rivendell, in brick-built form, captures all the striking features of the settlement. The gorgeous low-peaked tan rooves and tall white walls run throughout the village, as well as the natural features which fold in and around the city. More than 20,000 bricks were used to build the Lego Rivendell, which took an incredible amount of time and effort. The 21000+ build includes all the iconic locations of the town – the house of healing where Frodo rested after the attack of the Nazgul, Bilbo’s home, and the council of Elrond. It also includes the bridge where Aragorn and Arwen departed, as well as the forge where Aragorn’s sword Anduril was reforged.
For ease of viewing, maintenance and movement, the work can be divided into five parts, which also provide an unobstructed view of the interior structure and buildings. Includes Elrond’s House, Great Walls, Council of Elrond, Bilbo’s House, Frodo Awakens, Anduril Reforged (Bonus). Let’s learn more about this aesthetic magic fairy town in the assembly.
This first great Moc includes the great Elrond’s house, with the main room with the high throne and Elrond’s bedroom. The house is connected with a corridor supported by five columns in light&dark grey. Green plants grew at the bottom of the columns. The outside walls of the house are also overgrown with grass and vines blooming with colorful flowers. A bridge is also included in this part, you can play with your figures for more immersive fun. Inside the house, there are furniture and related objects, which are highly reminiscent of scenes from the Lord of the Rings. What’s more, the outside scenery is available through the window. That house was, as Bilbo had long ago reported, “a perfect house, whether you like food or sleep, or story-telling or singing, or just sitting and thinking best, or a pleasant mixture of them all. Merely to be there was a cure for weariness, fear, and sadness.”
This second great Moc includes the Main frontal defensive wall of Rivendell, where soldiers can defend all of the valleys from enemies’ attacks. Walk across the connecting corridor to a small bridge, and on the other side of the bridge is a tower. you can go down the stairs from here to the third Moc.
This third great Moc includes the Council of Elrond with the main entrance, the main court and the great tree. The eaves of this building are made of yellow, red, blue and green bricks. Such a rich and harmonious color scheme breaks up the monotony. Enter through the main entrance and you’ll find a dining table, a big tree with colorful flowers and a meeting service inside. The highest part of this building has three floors. It is also included the covered path with Gilrael’s Tomb and the Statue with Narsil. You can complete this set with the fourth and the fifth parts.
This 4th Moc consists of the house and the bedroom where Bilbo gives to Frodo some gifts for the incoming long journey to Mordor. There is a strong contrast in the height and style of the two buildings, one is the tall conical castle, the highest part of the MOC set, and the other is a one-story elve’s house. Designed with the bedroom in the fifth Moc where Frodo awakes after the run to Rivendell, followed by all 9 Ringwraiths. You can complete these two sets with the Council of Elrond and Bilbo’s House for stable structure and authentic details.
In addition to the five parts above, our set comes with a complimentary set — Anduril Reforged. The sword Andril, also known as the Flame of the West, was reforged from Narsil’s shards. It was the sword of Aragorn II Elessar, son of Arathorn and heir of Isildur. This moc displays the scene of “the Return of the King” where Elrond reforged the sword from the shards of Narsil.
Build along with the designs in the included guide, or let your imagination run free with a twisting, turning original design of your very own! This MOC set also blends perfectly with your available figures of the Lord of the Ring to keep them busy on Rivendell, allowing you to experience an unparalleled level of immersion. Measuring 35.8(L) x 26(W) x 6.8(H)cm, this huge model does not hold back on what it offers for both display and play features.
