2026 has already been an incredible year for spaceflight.
On August 18, SpaceX reached another major milestone with its 100th mission of 2026, launching 24 Starlink satellites aboard a Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. The mission marked the third consecutive year in which SpaceX has reached the century mark for annual launches.
For space enthusiasts, milestones like this are a reminder of just how quickly space exploration is evolving.
And while most of us may never stand beside a real rocket on the launch pad, there is another way to bring a little piece of that excitement home.
From the Launch Pad to Your Display Shelf
Falcon 9 may be responsible for SpaceX’s 100th mission of the year, but when it comes to the future of the company’s space ambitions, Starship remains one of the most fascinating spacecraft to follow.
Designed around a fully reusable super-heavy launch system, Starship represents SpaceX’s ambitions for future missions beyond Earth. Recent testing has continued to push the program forward, including the recovery of the Starship vehicle from its July Flight 13 test after its ocean splashdown.
For builders and space collectors who want something inspired by this new era of spaceflight, the Starship Rocket Building Blocks Set turns that unmistakable rocket silhouette into a display model you can actually build yourself.
Build Your Own Starship Rocket Model
The Starship Rocket Building Blocks Set contains 1,778 pieces and recreates the combined spacecraft and Super Heavy-style launch system in brick form.
Once completed, the model measures approximately 75.4 cm / 29.7 inches tall, giving it enough presence to become a centerpiece rather than simply another small model sitting on the shelf. The finished dimensions are approximately 35.4 × 30.8 × 75.4 cm.
A launch stand is also included, making the finished build particularly suitable as a Starship model for display in a home office, study, collection room, or alongside other space models.
For adult builders, the appeal isn’t only the finished rocket. With 1,778 pieces, the building process itself offers a chance to gradually recreate one of today’s most recognizable spacecraft concepts from the ground up.
More Than a Rocket Building Block Set
For many space fans, collecting models is really about preserving a small piece of an era.
Apollo models represent the Moon-race generation. Space Shuttle models capture another chapter of human spaceflight. And models inspired by Starship increasingly represent today’s pursuit of reusable rockets and ambitious missions beyond Earth.
That makes a Starship building block model especially interesting for people who follow modern aerospace development.
Instead of only watching launches through a screen, you can build something inspired by that story piece by piece — and then keep it on your shelf long after the launch itself has ended.
It can also make an interesting space gift for adults, especially for rocket enthusiasts, astronomy fans, engineering lovers and collectors who already have traditional spacecraft models.
100 Launches — And the Story Is Still Being Written
Reaching 100 missions before the end of August shows just how dramatically the pace of orbital launches has changed.
The milestone mission itself was SpaceX’s 97th Falcon 9 launch of 2026, with the company’s other missions bringing its annual total to 100. Just days earlier, SpaceX had also set a new company record by launching two Falcon 9 rockets only 38 minutes apart.
For anyone who has been following this new generation of rockets, it is an exciting moment to be a space enthusiast.
So why not mark the occasion with a rocket of your own?

Build it. Display it. Keep a piece of the space age on your shelf.
